Job Profile:

The Marketing, Corporate and Community Partnership Coordinator is responsible for developing and implementing an annual marketing and communications strategy and plan that effectively delivers key messages and information to a variety of audiences and stakeholders, clarifying the work of CMHA. This position also develops associated marketing materials for the Community Education & Training Program, actively markets and sells CMHA courses and workshops to government, corporate, and not-for-profit organizations, and schedules courses/workshops with the Mental Health Educators. The incumbent builds upon existing relationships, cultivates emerging partnerships, and identifies new opportunities to drive increased community engagement and results, fostering long-term engagement and investment.

This role will directly impact and enhance the successful acquisition and fulfillment of community and corporate partnerships and result in revenue generation to advance CMHA’s mission.  Development & execution of marketing and communications strategy and plan specific to CET Program will help reduce stigma of mental illness in our community, raise profile of CMHA with corporate and community partners, increase awareness of CMHA programs and services, the importance of Mental Health and prominence and impact of Mental Illness, and contribute to promoting CMHA brand and mission.

In addition to compliance with all organizational policies and procedures, the incumbent is also expected to behave ethically, demonstrate competence in effective communication and team building, demonstrate effectiveness in working in a collaborative environment, and demonstrate confidence in decision-making and in building relationships.

Requirements:

  • Post-Secondary Education in a relevant field such as Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or programs that focus on Fundraising or Development.
  • Creates, manages and drives growth strategies using marketing, sales and relational skills, to drive results
  • Develops associated marketing materials for the Community Education & Training Program
  • Actively markets and sells CMHA courses and workshops to government, corporate, and not-for-profit organization
  • Supports the Mental Health Educators in the development of new community education curriculum by identifying gaps in existing offerings and researching materials from other jurisdictions
  • Develops detailed partner plans with focus on growth, engagement, activation, and stewardship activities with end goal of exceeding targets
  • Builds upon existing relationships, cultivates emerging partnerships, and identifies new opportunities to drive increased community engagement and results, fostering long-term engagement and investment.
  • Responds to requests for CMHA participation in Health Fairs, and works with a pool of volunteers to support said Fairs to promote the programs and services of CMHA, and develop contacts for future revenue generation.
  • Gathers and reports statistics for the program as required, and analyses course evaluations.
  • Supports the administration of the Community Education & Training Program by preparing course handouts, preparing and distributing Health Fair kits, maintaining the course materials on the CMHA shared drive, maintaining course attendance lists, sending required information to Education partners e.g. CMHA BC Division, Mental Health Commission of Canada
  • A second language (Cantonese, Farsi, Italian, Korean, Mandarin, Punjabi, Russian, Tamil, Urdu) reflecting the local community is an asset.
  • A valid Canadian driver’s license, a minimum $1,000,000 third party liability insurance
  • A satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Screening (Police Check)

This position reports to and is supervised by the Director of Philanthropy.

Working Conditions: Office work, work in the community, occasional weekend/evening hours will be required
